Friday, April 4, 2025, 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
The City of Wilmington's residential weekly yard waste collection program will resume on April 4, 2025. Landscape waste must be placed in paper yard waste bags or clearly labeled carts. Small branches that are bundled will also be picked up.
How to Participate in Curbside Collection
On your regular refuse pick-up day, please place grass, weeds, small branches, twigs, and leaves in paper yard waste bags or in a wheeled cart that is clearly labeled "Yard Waste Only." The cart should have a capacity of 32 to 96 gallons.
Alternatively, if you have branches that are less than 3 inches in diameter, you can tie them in bundles that measure up to 4 feet long and 2 feet wide. Make sure to secure each bundle with biodegradable twine.
Please note that both bags and bundles have a weight limit of 60 pounds. Make sure to have everything out by 6 AM.
What’s not included with the pick-up program
Unbundled brush, whole trees and limbs greater than 4 inches in diameter, stumps, sod, and dirt.
This program runs until November 29, 2025.
Questions or concerns regarding yard waste collection, or a missed pick-up, should be directed to Homewood Disposal at 1-815-932-1115 or www.mydisposal.com/wilmington
