ROUTE 66 Mural Contest
Seeking Talented Artists!
Contribute to a lasting legacy by designing and creating an original mural along the historic Route 66 in Wilmington, Illinois. We encourage you to let your creativity flow. Please submit your design and a detailed description to jsmith@wilmington-il.gov by February 28. The proposed designs will be evaluated and voted on by the City of Wilmington Mural Selection Committee. If your design is selected, you will receive a prize of $10,000, and your mural will be installed on the building located at South Island Park in Wilmington. Additionally, all costs associated with the installation of the mural will be fully covered.

Winner Announced: March 11
Installation: March 23 – April 27
Reveal: May 3 (Route 66 Red Carpet Corridor Event)
